Cavender takes Central Division Open Singles title

17 year old Max Cavender has won the US Central Division Open Singles event.

Cavender defeated reigning US singles champion Steve Nelson in the Championship flight final to take the crown. Scotty Angelo finished third.

In the Triples event, Steve Nelson, Carl Landgren and Glorianne Mather (with John Kirkwood as a sub) defeated Jack Behling, Leif Andresen and Rob Behncke to take the title.
