British Isles Championships results

2010-07-03
The British Isles championships have concluded in Worthing, England, and Scottish bowlers came out with the best overall results.
In the Junior Singles category, England's Jamie Chestney defeated Scotland's Martin Rice, 21-15.

Allister James Reid from Scotland defended his 2009 British Isles singles title by defeating Guernsey's Mat Le Ber 21-14.

In Pairs, Ireland's Brian Hughes and Gary Kelly were down 15-11 with 3 ends to play and scored 1-1-2 to tie their match with Guernsey's Kris Bichard and Dan de la Mare.  Ireland then proceeded to win the extra end and the pairs title.

In the Fours, it was all Scotland as Murray Thomson, Brian Jolly, Stewart Anderson and James Gribben cruised to a 25-9 victory over Jersey's Greg Davis, Malcolm De Souza, Michael Rive and Ross Davis.

Play starts Saturday in the Senior International test series.
